Curium is the most popular wave riding spot in Cyprus. It can be sailed all year round although during the summer months it gets very busy with sunbathers and swimmers. If you have enough experience you can launch your kite from the most south end of the bay, away from the restaurants and swimming area. This involves rigging your kite in the fields and walking down a steep pebble beach to reach the water. Wave size can go from small chop in the summer to double head high in the winter. Best wind direction is South/West to North/West.
Curium beach takes it’s name from the ancient Curium theatre situated on the hill right over the bay. To find Curium beach you must first head for Episkopi village. While driving West through the village follow the signs towards ”Agios Ermogenis” and Curium beach (1km).
