Avdimou is a nice quiet bay with a small restaurant. Not so popular among local kitesurfers  due to the fact that there is a large swimming area right across the bay and also because the wind can often be very gusty. On the other hand because of it’s geographical situation Avdimou  does get the  southwest sea breeze in the summer first, 1 or 2 hours before the other spots located further down wind. So, if you want to kite early this is the place to go. Sea state is rather flat with the occasionnal small wave. Beware of swimming areas SBA police is very strict.

Located exactly half way between the cities of Lemesos and Pafos (25mn drive), just take the Avdimou bay exit off the highway and follow the narrow winding road towards ” Kyrenia” restaurant.
