[box]Where do the kitesurfing lessons take place ? [/box]The kite school is based in Pissouri bay. However because of it’s topography we do not teach there. Depending on wind direction and sea state we use a selection of nearby beaches.

[box]How much wind do you actually need to start a lesson?[/box]We like a minimum of about 10 knots. Anything less and the kites don’t perform as they should and you spend more time re-launching and un-tangling lines. However, we can still go through the basics of kitesurfing theory and assembling even if there is no wind. This is just about the first half hour of a Discovery lesson.

[box]What do you do if there is no wind when I am scheduled for a lesson?[/box] Hopefully we will be able to re-schedule for a better day during your stay here. We will do our best to accommodate you.

[box]Can I stay in Pissouri bay ?[/box]A Google search will reveal a wide choice of accommodation ranging from self catering apartments to luxury hotels.

[box]How can I get to Pissouri bay ?[/box]Hiring a car is the best and cheapest way of getting around in Cyprus, you will easily find Pissouri bay located half way (25mn) between the cities of Lemesos and Pafos.

[box]How competent are your instructors ?[/box]Cyprus-Wind is the pioneer of kitesurfing in Cyprus. With 12 years teaching experience we don’t need to justify our competence anymore. We offer the safest most efficient teaching methods around.

[box]What kind of gear do you use ?[/box]We are equipped with the latest offerings from SLINGSHOT, F-ONE and GUL . Specifically designed for kite schools they emphasis on safety, toughness and ease of use.

[box]Do you have kitesurfing equipment for sale?[/box] Yes we stock new and used gear for sale and give all our students a great discount..

[box]I am bringing my own gear to kite, are there any rules at the beach that I need to follow?[/box] Please ask any of the local riders before rigging up about wind shifts and any dangerous areas you need to be aware of. Most importantly you should always keep out and away from swimming areas and stay clear from sun bathers.
