Curium is the most popular wave sailing spot in Cyprus. It can be riden all year round but better left alone during the summer months because it then gets very busy with sunbathers and swimmers. If you have enough experience you can launch your kite on the left end of the bay, outside the swimming area, after where the beach ends, in the fields… Wave size can go from small chop in the summer to double head high in the winter. Best wind direction is Southwest (summer breeze) and West.
Curium beach takes it’s name from the ancient Curium theatre situated on the hill right over the bay. To find Curium beach you must first head for Episkopi village. After driving through the village while heading west, follow the signs towards ”Agios Ermogenis” and Curium beach (1km).
